Author A to Z

Ann Carroll writes romance while her alter ego - Ann Evans, writes children's fiction and magazine articles.  When Ann first got bitten by the writing bug some 30 years ago, it was romance that she particularly wanted to write.  However, she found success writing for children as well as becoming a feature writer on her local newspaper. It's only been the last few years that she has gone back to that first love of romantic novels and now has three romances published, and another in progress.

When she's not writing, or doing all the other things associated with writing, such as author visits to schools, talks and running writing workshops, she likes to spend time with family and friends, keeping fit, gardening and reading.

It's a fact

In 2012, sales of romantic fiction in the UK reached £112m. In 2013, this rose to £120m
