Author A to Z

Anne L Harvey has written many family and social history articles published in national magazines. Her two family sagas, A Suitable Young Man and Bittersweet Flight, both passed through the RNA’s New Writers’ Scheme.

Having been unsuccessful in finding either an agent or a publisher, she took the decision to self-publish using Amazon KDP and Createspace, a decision she has never regretted. She has enjoyed considerable sales success, not only in the UK, but also among ex-pats in the United States, Canada and Australia and garnered mostly four and five star reviews.

Both novels are set the mill towns of Lancashire in the mid-1950s, when rock and roll first came to Britain and reflect the social attitudes of the new Elizabethan era. She plans to continue writing in this same genre/time period.

She has a memoir-based blog called Passionate About The Past and you can follow her on Twitter: @annelharvey1
