Author A to Z

Eileen Ramsay was born in Scotland but studied in the United States, where she managed to gain two good degrees and one exceptionally good husband. Their shared love of music has taken them to some of the world’s most beautiful cities and quite often her protagonists find themselves there too.

Eileen describes her novels as stories of ordinary people with extraordinary talents.  All have been translated into German and other European languages.

She joined the RNA in 1988, later joining the committee and serving as secretary.  In 2004, her novel, Someday, Somewhere was short listed for the RNA love story of the year award and was, for several weeks, on the German best-seller lists.

Eileen won the Elizabeth Goudge award and the Pitlochry and Constable Awards from The Scottish Association of Writers and one of her sagas is used as a resource in a famous Medical School.
