Jen Black

Jen was born in Newcastle and has always lived in the North East. She studied for a degree in English and History and managed academic libraries for a living. Her first books Banners of Alba and Dark Pool were written while working full-time.

Her third and fourth Far After Gold and Till the Day Go Down were published as UK paperbacks in 2009, but the publisher closed in 2010! She turned to Kindle to publish Fair Border Bride, a re-edited version of Till the Day and Shadows, a romantic contemporary with ghosts set in an ancient French watermill. Her new book, Reluctance, an early Regency romance, is published by MuseItUp Publishing.

Retired now, Jen has time to enjoy the Northumbrian countryside, spend as many days as she wants on writing, sneak off on skiing holidays and disappear to France at least once a year. Sometimes there are long trips to Australia where the family enjoys the Ozzie lifestyle.
