Author A to Z

Jessica had never considered writing as a career until a former manager kept telling her that her business reports read more like stories and she should write a book. She loved writing but had no plot ideas. Then something happened to her that prompted the premise for her debut novel, Searching for Steven. She put fingers to keyboard and soon realised she had a trilogy!

She was a member of the RNA’s NWS between 2012 and 2014 and the positive comments that she received from her readers helped give her the confidence to send Searching for Steven into the publishing world, hoping to find him a home. She was thrilled to secure a publishing deal in autumn 2014.

Jessica lives on the stunning North Yorkshire Coast - the inspiration for the settings in her books - with her husband, daughter, cat, Sprocker Spaniel, and an ever-growing hug of collectible teddy bears.

She's a founder member of The Write Romantics, a group of ten romance writers who all met virtually through the NWS. To find out more, please visit:

It's a fact

Women find Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy the most romantic couple in fiction but men think it is Romeo and Juliet. However a majority of women under 35 prefer Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy.
