June was born in Southampton where after leaving school she trained as a hairdresser. She applied to the Cunard Company for a position on one of their liners and eventually joined the Queen Mary, working in the Beauty Parlour, caring for American movie stars and VIP’s. Three years later, she was moved to the Mauritania which cruised the Carribean and Mediteranean for six months of the year.

She left the sea and married an airline pilot who flew out to New York and proposed to her. She then opened a hairdressing salon in Sussex, gave birth to two daughters and moved to Hamble, a yachting village on the Solent and opened a craft shop before the family moved to Portugal for three years before returning to Sussex.

She has written fourteen sagas, has held teaching seminas in Corfu, Tuscany and Winchester University. She gives talks to womens’ clubs, libraries and writing circles. She was chairman of the West Sussex writers’ club and joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association in 1989.
