Lin was born in Saltburn by the Sea in north east England. She lived in the area until 2001 when she moved with her husband and family to live in the Netherlands for her husband’s job.

Her first novel, Goodbye, Henrietta Street was published in July 2013. Lin has studied creative writing and been a member of the RNA New Writers’ Scheme, later moving on to full membership of the RNA. She is also a member of the Society of Authors.

Retired from her job as a trainer of driving instructors, Lin loves Cornwall and spends her annual holidays on the Isles of Scilly as well as exploring Europe. She and her husband have a caravan and love the freedom of the road.

Lin has travelled extensively around the world by sea and gained inspiration for her writing from the places she has visited.
