Author A to Z

Lynne Shelby can’t remember a time when she wasn’t writing, and her dream was always to be a published author. She graduated from the New Writers’ Scheme in 2015 with her debut novel, ‘French Kissing,’ which won the Accent Press & Woman Magazine Writing Competition.

Lynne has worked in a variety of day jobs from stable girl to legal administrator, and when her children were young, she had a very enjoyable vicarious career as a stage mother, which has left her with a love of the theatre that inspires much of her writing.

She loves travelling and is also inspired to write by the many wonderful foreign cities that she has visited and explored - with a camera and writer's notebook in hand. She lives in London, with her husband and a lot of books.

Barbara Cartland is regarded as the world’s most prolific author with over 700 titles. She wrote 550 + of those after leaving the Romantic Novelists’ Association in 1965 – in protest against the word ‘Romantic' in its title.
