Author A to Z

I was born in London in 1954. I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Modern History in 1976, married in 1977, and taught for four years before my first child was born in 1982. I then took up freelance copy-editing and indexing (academic books), along with writing (fiction and educational books).

I now live in Cornwall with my husband, and my younger daughter. My hobbies are reading, singing, knitting, walking and gardening. My first novel, Beauty for Ashes, the story of one man’s rollercoaster emotional and spiritual journey, was published in the US in 2007 by Wings e-Press.

The RNA's first president Denise Robins wrote more than 180 books. The second, Mary Burchell wrote 110. Our third President, Diane Pearson has six so far. Current president Katie Fforde has 19 and she's still writing.
