Louise Allen writes historical romance for Mills & Boon in the UK and for Harlequin in North America and has been published in almost twenty countries in over sixteen languages. With a few exceptions her books are set in the “long Regency” – the first twenty years of the 19th century.

She is a passionate collector of all things Regency, especially fashion prints and prints of London, and can often be found researching Regency London with a 1814 map in hand.

Louise lives in Norfolk with her husband. As Melanie Hilton she is a Committee member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association and Organiser of the New Writers’ Scheme.
