Author A to Z

Born in Poole, Dorset, my writing career began when my first short story was published in 1984. An encouraging critique from the RNA New Writers Scheme in 1990 persuaded me to make the change to novel writing and my first book, a romance, was published in 1991 followed by another in 1992.

After being widowed twice in 7 years, I lost my confidence in my own ability for a while. A return to short fiction and seeing my stories published regularly again gave me the courage to return to novel writing.

I now write contemporary family fiction and have had a book a year published since the first, Widow On The World, was published in 2006.
